On Thursday, 7.21, after Carson's swimming lessons, some family playtime at the pool, and lunch, dad and mom took Carson and Austynn to Pacific City for some camping excitement! The kids were ready to go camping!

On Friday they got go to the Tillamook Cheese Factory to try to see how they were making cheese, sample some, and get ice cream!
What a fun water hole to play in!
Building a fire with Papa!

Daddy, Mommy, and Paislee joined us on Saturday! Here is Carson jumping off a log to his dad :)
Our happy little energetic babe!
Campfire time!!
Earlier we drove to Tillamook to get ice cream, and to get the kids to nap (in the car) - turns out Mitch and I thought napping sounded good, too! We napped and headed back home, w/o ice cream, so, Mitch bought a gallon of ice cream and some cones and we made our own ice cream cones around the camp fire! Dad and mom got some of the new huge marshmallows - one of those filled an entire graham cracker - so yummy!
Carson was showing us how to build the fire :)
The kids hadn't slept in a tent before so they decided that they would sleep with us in the tent, so they are tired here and ready for bed, but we were enjoying the fire :) We tried Paislee in the camper w dad and mom, but about 2:30a she decided she wasn't going to sleep. I went in w her and had her just down when Austynn started crying for me out in the tent - nice! And, when Austynn starts, she doesn't stop! So, Pais and I went out to the tent. Austynn went back to sleep, but Paislee thought staying up was a game! Finally, after 5:00a when it was starting to get light, we got her to bed. Of course, after a great night sleep, Carson was up at 7:00a! Hopefully next year we can get the kids to all sleep, as camping would be so much fun!
Sunday we packed everything back up, got in the car and got the kids to bed! About 3 hours later we were hungry and ready for a break so we had dinner and some fun in Florence.
Thanks dad and mom for taking the kids a couple days early! Always amazing to have an extra mental break!! The kids had been anticipating camping, too, so thanks so much!
