Austynn is 1 year old!

Here is the sweet, sweet cake (in more ways than one!). Mitch calls her ~tynn :)
We had to get her her first pair of Nike's for her big day!
Thanks so much to Lu and mom for taking pictures during the party! I meant to grab a camera and get one of Lu, but it just never happened...sorry!
My baby girl isn't as sure of people as Carson is. She kind of checks things out first :)
Can you see her looking? :)
Funny that Lu caught this...
Papa asked if I still wanted 4 kids - to which I replied that I thought I was good with 3 - he thought that was pretty funny. I have always said 4 would be a good number, but I think 3 will be fabulous :)
Aunt Jackie, and the greats!
Austy's party :)
Great job, honey! Our kids are lucky.
Not too sure what to do with the candle!
Mom will help :)
Time to dig in...kind of!
Yum...this is pretty good!
She kept sharing with Mitch - it was cute!
Watch out, though, when her scoop of ice cream came, she grabbed the whole thing and put it in her mouth :) Smart girl!

The carousel only goes every 25 minutes. By the time we got there, the horses were gone :(
Cars got one!
We thought it was going to go again, but no such luck - at least we got a picture of her on one! :)
Austynn with her grandma's!
Present time!
Hmmm...Cars has to help and check it all out! A baby doll - yay for some girl stuff! :)
A baby stroller - how fun! This is a really BIG hit with both kids :)
She didn't want the ribbons in her hair, but was fine with them in mine :)
Aunt Nanc made a baby doll and wrapped a handmade quilt around it (this quilt matches the one that Nanc made for Austynn) ... I decided that this one can't be played with until she gets a little older!
Auntie Ash got this fun lady bug ball!
Yay!
Our little family...at the end ;)
It was perfect...Cars took a huge nap when we got home and Austynn was all excited to see and play with her new toys. So, she got a moment of peace with them - it was fun to watch her play.
Look at my new doll, grandpa!
This was yesterday...Carson crawled in the crate and wanted Austynn in, too...she wasn't so sure about it.
:)

Trick or treatin, cake makin fun

Papa and Nana came over for the Halloween weekend...and to watch the UO-USC game. Poor Mitch...the Ducks won :) (However, they didn't look too good on Saturday!)
Austynn's present from the TX Fransen's came on Saturday, so this was her first b-day gift :)
Carson decided he should show her how it is done!
Pretty girl bow :) ... and tape!
This is Carson's Duck hat from Papa and Nana ... Mitch is diligently working on turning his "Go Ducks" into "Go Broncos" ... for a week he would say "Go Ducks, Go Ducks" ... Mitch told him to say "Go Broncos" ... and he would say "No, I don't say Go Broncos, I say Go Ducks" :) It was pretty funny!
Last night (MNF), Cars' "Go Broncos" didn't seem to help :(
Thankfully Aunt Jackie had her camera for trick or treating. Cars really started to get into it, right when it was pouring! Maybe we should go for a costume next year :)
Austynn coming in to look at the camera :)
I put product in Austynn's hair, so Cars wanted some, too! Sweet mohawk, dude.
She loves the basketball!

Yes, I gave Cars a MUCH NEEDED hair cut! So much better! This is him saying "cheese" to show off his new due.
Showing off the new cut again
So, I finally got him watercolors after nearly 2 1/2 years - he was having fun...
...but, Austynn was not liking that she was not participating! So, I let her have a try and she was SOOOOO EXCITED! I ran to grab the camera bc her smile was so cute. She just loved it!
I do need to get another water color set.
Well, it didn't quite all go on the paper :)
Here we are getting started on Austynn's big cake adventure ... before the kids go to bed.
Carson snuck an egg in there and cracked it - he thought he was so cool - he actually did it right, too :)
Austynn's cynical look ... she was getting a little tired
So, Mitch turned some music on and started dancing with the kids :)
Ha! Carson was just dancing for Mimi and Grandpa and Mimi asked where he learned to dance. We laughed when he said from daddy...but, maybe he was right! Such a cute daddy!!
After the kids are down, Mitch starts working on his project of creating the cake. Pretty cool that he is good at sweet cakes! Our kids would just have plain little round cakes if it were up to me!
This shape sorter was keeping her attention pretty well this day :)
We are making frosting the next day, so I let the kids try some of the extra cake :)
Austynn doesn't look so sure of it.
