Poor Grandpa and Mimi :), the kids called them Tuesday evening, the 12th, and invited them to their track meet the next day! Grandpa and Mimi are troopers, though, and they made it down in time for the festivities! Since they weren't going to get to watch Carson's swim lessons, we all went to open swim after the track meet. Grandpa took lots of great pictures!
The local news station happened to be at the track meet - you can see all the kids on the link, but Carson was even "interviewed" :) It was brief, but funny! When asked who taught him to throw like that, Carson responded "I thinked it up!" You can hear us saying "your daddy" in the background :) Got to love kids!

Mimi was teaching the kids the 23rd Psalm when they were in Medford, so they were showing us here :)
The kids are interested in all the equipment each day, as they are working on the roads right by the pool.
Lu captured some fun family shots in the pool. Nice, bc I had not managed to get my camera to the pool yet. Watching the kids seems to be enough!
We can have so much more fun when dad goes, too! I keep the kids pretty contained when it is just me, but they still enjoy it!
I am glad that Paislee is getting a younger start in the water. She is our little fish! She wants to go in the water like she does on land, but doesn't totally get it. She tries to blow bubbles like her siblings! It has been great to see the kids progress in the water.
All the kids are showered up! I saw a mom shower her kids and put their pjs on one day, and thought it was a fabulous idea! Since then, our kids have only had showers at the pool! Sure saves the hassle of bath time at home! And, they love washing up in the shower!
This is generally the routine - leaving the pool and heading for the park and our "free lunch". Wow, this has been awesome for us this summer! In case you moms do not know about this - it is offered nation wide through the USDA, http://www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/Summer/Default.htm. They had an inspector one day and he said there are 63 sites where they serve food just in Eugene alone, but most towns nation wide have locations. It is free to all kids 18 and under. There is a fruit, veg, milk, and entree!
Carson stayed at the motel with Grandpa and Mimi and clearly enjoyed his time!
