Hwy 242 - Sept 18, 2011

On our way home from Papa and Nana's we took the scenic route from Sister to Hwy 126. It is beautiful for about the first 10-15 miles! All the pictures are from that part of the drive. After that, however, it is this nasty little windy road that made me totally sick :) The kids zonked during this part, so that was great! Mitch and I vowed to not do the entire drive again. If we do it, we will go from Sisters and then back to Sisters! In the picture above, you can see the north and middle sisters. A nice lady took our family pic!

 We hiked up to the top of this little outlook. It has little windows set up to look at all the different mountains.

 Carson climbed up on this rock and wanted his picture taken :)

 There was a sign for this little lake off the hwy, so we drove in to check it out. Very pretty and very remote. We set up the timer to get a family shot :)

 Carson was so cute - he wanted to use Mitch's phone to take pictures, which he did (wish I could get them off the phone!) and they were great! He got one of a flower - very close and really neat - so, he wanted me to take a picture of the flower he picked. He kept putting it closer and closer to the lens ;) In this shot, he was focusing on holding the flower super still so that I could take a picture of it! So adorable! And, he is now saving his money for a camera (might take awhile), but it will be fun to see him with one one day! I love his little hands and the focus in his eyes!
