Fishing!!! 9.17.2011

We headed to Papa and Nana's last weekend! Our Saturday fishing trip had been highly anticipated by the kids, who had been saving their money for a few weeks to purchase their very own fishing poles! We had the most perfect fishing day; it was truly amazing! We got to Ochoco Reservoir around noon - the weather was partly cloudy and a little cool, but very nice! We had been on the water probably 10 minutes and had already had 2 bites and 1 fish - or 2 fish and 1 bite? I can't remember, but we were amazed! The entire 2(ish) hours we fished were like this! We landed 6 fish, had lots of bites, and lost a few at the boat. It was such fun! Both the kids caught their first fish! We bbqed them and had them for lunch on Sunday (the kids enjoyed catching them over eating them :)).

Pretty cool pole, little man - Bronco orange! He had to have his "fishing" hat, too :)

This is Austynn's first fish :)

This was our "big" one! Austynn caught it and Carson reeled it (some) ;)

Pais was so tired! She zonked on the floor, until water got in the boat and got her pants wet :( We enjoyed the bit of peace and quiet :)-

Carson thought the fish guts stunk ;)

  1. Oh what Memories!! So glad you had fun fishing! The girls look "ever-so-stylish" in their hats and vests, and Carson is definitely his Daddy's son in Bronco Orange! Love the fishing!! Great job reeling, kiddos! Love, Aunt Stace
