Hard to believe Thanksgiving was already a week ago! We started off our long weekend with dad, with our new family tradition of a taco feed the night before Thanksgiving. Must say, it was pretty yummy! Grandpa, Grandma, Tim and Jackie all joined us.
We celebrated Thanksgiving at Grandpa and Grandma's - Carson LOVED the pumpkin pie!!
Carson and Austynn both loved all the games on Aunt Jackie and Uncle Timmy's phones!
On Friday we prepared our own Thanksgiving meal - I always enjoy making the meal and having lots of left overs! Mitch learned of a new way to cook the turkey - covered w mayo and surrounded by a paper bag - it was yummy and moist - I put it under and on top of the skin and sprinkled seasonings over it. Fun to try something new!
Our little helpers...
Even Paislee is getting in on the fun with daddy!
Saturday we got our tree - we left it in the garage over night and got it set up on Sunday. Carson got to help daddy bring it in the house.
Proud daddy making the Christmas banners for his kids! This was one of Mitch's favorite things as a kid, so he requested that Mimi make these for our kiddos (thank you!). The kids get to take one thing off each day - yesterday they both chose a car and today it was a chocolate santa! Carson saved 1/2 his santa for later, while Austynn finished hers up this morning. They both got to eat their santas while watching some cartoons this morning!
Daddy made sugar cookies with the kids while I got the lights on the tree and decorated our house a little bit...looks like maybe they are eating a candy cane, too :)
Paislee playing with the jingle bells and helping mom
This was pretty funny - I put candy canes on the tree Sunday night. Austynn saw them immediately on Monday morning, when she inspected our new tree. She came in this room while we were in the other room. When we got in here, Carson informed me that Austynn took all the candy canes down. (Nice work, Aust! They were up rather high, too) She started crying when she got caught and had to give them up :) I had to take a picture!

Love the Christmas banners, Cristin! We did that too growing up and it is so fun!! I bet Carson and Austynn love it! Great idea!
