May felt like a crazy month! We just got moved into our apt, were trying to "settle" a bit, had Mother's day, Carson's b-day, and we seemed to have a fair amount going on on the weekends :) HOWEVER, we had some simply amazing weather!! It had been 4 years ago since we got much of any nice weather in April and May. We had many days in the 80s and even some low 90s this year. Perfect weather in our book! It made the move and transition feel a little easier!
We took lots of walks and bike rides! Carson, you road your bike on this one, while I pushed the girls in the stroller. You guys wanted to check out every animal listed on the boards :) Gram and Gramps even met us at a little park!
Lots of wildlife and tons of babies! These little ladies and the kids were all admiring the baby goslings! We have loved watching them grow this spring!
Karen came up to visit the first weekend.
It is fun to see the turtles all lined up on all the logs, sun bathing in the Delta Ponds.
Tim and Ronya Teterud brought Karen up for the weekend and then Karen took Paislee back home with her. She was going to take Austynn, but Austy decided to stay home at the last minute. Pais, of course, was eager and ready the second she was asked :)- Pais got to spend one day at school w Mimi before we met and picked her up. This is us out for a walk, after Karen and Pais headed for Medford.
Austynn was my little shopping buddy while C was in school and P was gone :)
Hooked up with a BIG Italian soda!
These next 2 pics are out of order - 2 pics down is my new Mother's day set-up. the bike and double stroller, complete w my motley crew :) We also surprised dad w a bike and tag-along for Carson. We were ready to hit the trails!!
The next weekend we went down to Medford. I took the kids to this street fair while Karen and Mitch worked in Karen's yard.
It was hot and they were worn out by the end
When we got back to Mimi's, people came over for a party to celebrate Carson and Paislee's birthdays
This is on Mother's day, before church.
Our lunch at Outback :)
The girls had to take their babies for a walk :)
Paislee, you did not want to be left out. You were so proud of getting to ride the tag along! You kept calling yourself "Bike Rider Paisee!"
Austy, you actually road before Pais...it really freaked you out at first and you wanted off right away, but we kept going for a little bit :) (You are a really good little rider now and have even learned how to peddle...nice work!)
The 3rd weekend we headed up to the cabin to help Gramps move a canoe, and then we went for a walk and enjoyed some yummy chicken and jo-jos!
Cars, you listened to my music on your new i-touch most all the way to the cabin. This is a first for you - you were very cute in the back singing the songs. You seem to enjoy music - I love it!
Pais, this is typical you being silly underneath the stroller on one of our walks :)
Cars, I made some cupcakes w animals on top of them for your class on your b-day. You all seemed to enjoy :) This is you w your buddies Kainoa and Lucas
On May 24th, Carson and daddy went on Carson's field trip to Wildlife Safari, where they met Mimi. The girls and I had to have a little fun, too :)
Love this picture of you, bud. What a neat field trip! Amazing to have both dad and Mimi with you!
Mrs. Callahan
It was a bit chilly, but that didn't stop you kids from trying out the pool at our apt :)
Daddy took you all out to breakfast on Carson's b-day, before we headed to Prineville. Happy 6th, bud!!
I made you pumpkin pie for your big day, as that is your favorite pie! Gram and Gramps came over, too.
Aunt Ashley had the kid's first boy cousin on May 14th - Cam Allen Goering - 8lb 9oz.
Slurpee's and pepperoni sticks for our ride back to Eugene :)
Cars, you road a little last summer w/o your training wheels, but we didn't really practice, being on such a busy street. We practiced a little more at Papa and Nana's and came home, took yours off, and went for a ride! Great work!!
This gun was pretty sweet - you used b-day money to buy, but it only shot one bullet before breaking :( We took it back and you bought a cool Hot Wheels bath toy!
