This was one of our crazier months! We listed our house a couple months back, bc we thought we were going to move to Spokane, WA. We ended up not going for that job, but left the house on the market, bc Mitch was going to be transferred in the near future. It was a real headache having the house ready to show at a moment's notice. I was about ready to take it off the market!! Just when I thought a realtor was doing a no-show an hour before he was supposed to show the home, I got a call from our realtor saying we got an offer. I guess we should be happy, but where were we going to go? We got the offer sometime in the 1st 5 days of the month. We quickly agreed on a price, but still had to wait 2 weeks before all the inspections and everything were final. I had been looking for a home for us to rent, but didn't know for sure until everything went through. Once that happened, I tried hard to find a place for us! However, it was to no avail! I had NO IDEA how hard renting a house w a family and 2 dogs would be! Especially since we did not want to sign a year lease! So, we had to close April 30th, which meant we needed to move out the weekend of the 27th. Holy moly!! On April 25th, I checked out an apt that was near the bike path. They had only 1 3bed-2bath available. I just took it. What the heck! We didn't have anything else lined up! I was pretty much against apts bc no yard for kids and dogs. However, when nothing else opened, what else can you do?
Trying to pack the house up and get moved was interesting, too, but it was nice to have help from both parents! Karen took all three kids from the 11th to the 15th, and this is when we got the house mostly all packed up. My parents took the kids the weekend we moved. Mitch and I loaded and moved the entire house ourselves - fun times!!! :)
We have tons of stuff in 2 garages here and minimal in the apt. A house will feel really good again one day :) When and where are still to be determined!
I thought this lady was awesome :) This was on our walk to Saturday market.
