June

The first day of June fell on a Saturday, so we hit our new found bike trail and set out on an adventure :) 17 miles later and via too many busy streets, we ended up at Fern Ridge Reservoir. We have driven by it many times on the way to the coast, but in 5 years have never gone to check it out. It was great! We loved it, the kids played, we grilled some burgers...and then remembered we still had to bike home :) Carson, you were such a trooper helping me on all the busy streets, as you pedaled so hard on that tag-along! Girls, you crashed in the stroller on the way home! And you all fell fast asleep the moment your heads hit your pillows that evening!

Girls watching your shows while I got my nails done. You girls are good little troopers!
Lots of play time at our apt pool!!

Watching a show on the computer ... white trashing it up!

 Mimi's 65th Birthday dinner celebration at Shoji's

I saw someone pulling a tag-along and a stroller so I decided to try it one day...we road to your school, Cars, and picked you up in style :)

Carson you graduated from Kindergarten on June 13th...such a handsome fella! Way to go, bud :)

Happy Father's Day!! The kids all made cute books for you, babe, saying all the different things they love about you :) We went to Fern Ridge to bbq and play in the water in the afternoon.

Our first weekday of summer vacation started on the 16th. I had contemplated when to start you guys in swimming lessons and decided to call Monday am and see if there was an opening. Sure enough! The Lord worked it out for you all to have lessons at the same time. Awesome! This summer has been full of swimming lessons and swimming at the apartment! You 3 have come so far and it is so cool to see!
Austynn Faith, you have talked about having Jesus in your heart for quite some time. Daddy took you on a hike up Spencer Butte on June 17th, where you accepted Jesus into your heart!

You wanted daddy to take the card you had made him for Father's day, wanted him to wear the outfit you had picked out for him, and of course, wanted to take Wheat Thins!

You saw the world's biggest slug and a little lizard!
Since daddy didn't take my nice camera on your hike, I wanted to capture a couple pictures of you before you left... :)

Pais, Cars and I went for a bike ride while you were hiking :)
Pais, here you are at your first swim lessons! Your teacher was Miss Brittany. You did so well, passed the class, and were very proud of yourself :)

Celebrating dad's birthday at Baja Fresh, with Mimi. Carson, you got to stay at motel w Mimi bc the girls were going home with Mimi :)

Happy 34th Birthday, babe! Your mom took the girls home with her, the morning of your birthday, so Carson, you and I headed to Florence for a fun day on the coast :)

On Sunday, we decided to try out our new bike rack for our car, so we took a trail out of Cottage Grove. It was a hot, but very lovely! We road past Dorena Lake and stopped at the end of the trail and swam in the Row River. Perfect day!

On our way back we saw this Bald Eagle perched on top of a branch from a log in the water, with ducks lined up on the log. Oh to have my nice camera and zoom lens. Amazing site!
