On our way home, we drove through Olympia - it was beautiful! Washington has so many lovely ports. We didn't stop, as kids were sleeping, but it was neat to see. Kids woke up before Portland, where we stopped to have dinner. We ate at our favorite, Chipotle, and then had dessert at McDonald's. We then stopped at the Rose Garden and the Pittock Mansion before heading home. We made it home around 11 pm :)
A nice lady offered to take our picture and Carson decided he didn't want to be in it. When we didn't give him an option, he decided to hide. Bummer, bc this is my favorite family picture of the trip.
What a lovely family vacation! Mitch headed back to work Monday morning, Labor day observed, only to decide to come back home and join us! Thanks for a great time, babe!
