We started our Friday off with an amazing breakfast at Grandpa and Grandma's! Pancakes, eggs, sausage, pineapple, coffee, juice, blueberries...wow, it really was that good!! Then Grandma and I walked with the kids to River Road park, which was a pretty good walk for C and A (Pais road in the stroller). As we were getting close to home, the kids were all saying they were getting hungry again. Grandpa must have read their minds, as he had a pb&j sandwich made and cut into quarters for them as we returned. Thanks so much G and G!!
Friday evening we picked Mitch up from his work (there is a nice park by his work, so the kids played while we waited for daddy to get done). When he was done, it had started raining, so we took the kids to play at the mall. We then went out for some dessert, completing our "family date".
On Saturday we woke up to falling snow. It was beautiful, for awhile! The kids were so anxious to get outside and get in it! By the time I got them bundled and ready, it had stopped snowing and was sunny :) Not much to show for it either, but the kids had fun playing in and tasting what there was. It was cold and wet, but they can't go outside without getting in the sandbox, so I let them. What a mess, but they had fun ;)
Later, the kids were running from room to room - wearing all different outfits and doing different fun moves - they were running at me while I took their pictures - then they enjoyed looking at themselves :)
