My friend Jenni, who coaches pole vault at UO, told us about these all comers track meets. They range from age 1 - old. It is pretty sweet. They do 5 in the summer and we made it to the last one. Hopefully we will get to more next summer. Carson had fun but wasn't real sure what it was all about. His favorite was definitely the long jump. He kept wanting to run down into the sand :)

Cars got a ribbon after he completed an event
Jen took us under the stadium to see where her vaulters practice when it rains (a fair amount of the time :)). Carson got to try out the pit - pretty sweet!

Ok, Here is Carson's big 60m dash. He was still doing pretty good in this picture- you can see he and Mitch on the right side. But then...
he realized how many people were there and got scared and started crying. So much for a top finish! :)
It is just funny to me how Austynn totally goes through the same stages as Carson - remote controls are super attractive right now!
As are the all the buttons and dials on the stereo! I did tell her no after I snapped this! :) I just couldn't resist.
It was funny, this package is to Austynn from her older cousins - it was like she knew it was from her - she was so excited about the box!
She is sporting some of the shades Audrey and Sophie sent her - thanks girls for all the great gifts! She loves getting new outfits!

Last week before we hit the wading pool - all decked out!
Carson built a "fort" under the table and wanted Austynn to play under there w him. I love that they are interacting more! She gets knocked over a lot, but stands her ground pretty good.
And, the last picture. These are the flowers that Carson got me before our first date. We are going on a date to a fancy Italian restaurant on Friday night. He even got me a card! We are looking forward to it - oh, he gets to pay w his own money :)
