Taking it all in

Austynn has been our most vocal about Grandpa. Mitch wore a pair of his shoes one day to work, to which Austynn inquired about why daddy was wearing Grandpa's shoes. As we drove to Medford on Friday the 7th, Austynn said we are going to Mimi's house, because it is just her house because Grandpa is in Heaven now. She said multiple times that she likes it better when Grandpa is here!

All the kids said they wanted Grandpa to be at his house when they got there. That they didn't like it very well that he wasn't going to be there.

Paislee wants to pray for "Grandpa and the baby with Jesus - and Mimi no sick" every time we pray!

The kids said they would miss everything about grandpa! Playing with him, having him at his house, staying at the motel, and playing the harmonica were a few of the specifics.

At the service, Carson and Austynn, really started to cry. They had cried a little, especially Carson, when talking about Grandpa not being at his house and how they would miss him. Not having him with Mimi and where he should be is what makes it hit home. Time will heal and we know Grandpa is in a better place, but it still doesn't feel right.

Poor Carson, looked at the pictures in his First Christmas book, that Mimi made him when he was a baby, and just started crying! He was so sad!! Missing Grandpa so much. ;( Sad. sad. sad!
