My 33rd Birthday! 1.11.2012

As always, my hubby makes my birthday extra special! He bought me this cool Portland Trailblazer t-shirt (below) and had it specially made with the number 33 on the back, for my age. I like my age already :)
He had the kids bring the shirt to me, right after I got ready yesterday, but wasn't going to tell me about the game until later. However, in all of Carson's excitement, he said "Dad! If we are going to the game, I want to wear my Bronco shirt!" ... then he realized he accidentally blew the surprise and started crying (poor boy!). We had to assure him that it was ok and that I was so excited about going to a game!! It was a beautiful day and drive! Mitch had made an appt at the Lloyd Center for me to get my nails done, then we went to this sweet little Mexican dive on Mississippi St, and finally to the game! The kids didn't nap on Tuesday and didn't nap yesterday, and did so awesome all day! What a fabulous day and birthday! Thanks, babe!
The kids played at the mall the hour+ that I had my nails done. Here is Carson signing the bday card, that the kids picked out, at our little restaurant. Tuesday night (after Mitch had been up and working since 1:00am) he got the kids and went to get me a card and to pick out cupcakes! The cupcakes were from Sweet Life, here in Eugene, and OH SO YUMMY!

When we first arrived at the game, Paislee was somber, tired, and taking it all in...didn't take long for that to change :) Mitch was such a sweetie and had her out walking around the arena for 3 of the 4 quarters! He said he was stopped twice by people asking to take their picture for the Blazer website - Paislee had her Blazer colors on! :)

Carson and Austynn could not have done better! Wow, they were adorable and really got into it! Here is Austynn clapping :) They clapped, danced around, and yelled "Let's go Blazers!" and "D-fense!" with the crowd. It was great to see! Good, too, to explain some of the terms to them. When a team called a timeout, Carson told me that there are timeouts in football, too :) I had to tell them that this was the Blazers here, and not the Broncos, bc the kids cheer for the Broncos "Go Broncos!" and Tebow "Go Tim Tebow! Don't get hurt, Tim Tebow" :) for any games they see! What a riot and so fun!
The game finally got close the last few minutes. The Blazers quickly got down 10 and then 20 and rallied just at the end of the 4th, but to no avail, but that is ok, at least it got exciting. This was their first home loss. Carson got a little scared when it got really loud :)
We drove through downtown Portland as we were leaving - the kids enjoyed seeing the big buildings. They lasted until about 10:30pm! We got home after midnight and they were up at 7. Oh my! They did just finish good naps, though, and we plan to go to bed early tonight.
 And they all crashed!
Thanks for the most fabulous birthday, family! I love you all so much!
