Our life in October

So, there are quite a few pictures, as I haven't put any pictures on the blog for awhile. I was starting to feel guilty, as I really hadn't been taking very many, so I got the camera out and tried to just capture some of what we do each day.
In this picture, I asked Carson to sit next to Austynn, so I could get a picture of them together. It is great bc he is really enjoying posing for me now - no way! I didn't tell him what to do, but it is an accomplishment to get any kind of decent picture of them together! I thought these next ones were cute...
Almost the big birthday girl! Hard to believe.
She is so much fun now - love watching them grow up!
She was actually cracking up at something Carson was doing in this picture.
Austy loves giving kisses! Carson kisses Austynn and think he deserves a "sticker" for being nice to his sister ;) I have to tell him that it takes more than just a kiss.
Agghh...love this!
Mitch worked his buns off outside this weekend - cutting branches, cleaning cutters, washing a car...never enough time to get it all done, but at least we were free of rain for awhile! Cars was working outside with dad and Austynn wants to sooooo bad, so she watches. Soon, soon.
Cars helps dad put a big branch in the pile.
"Look at my muscles" ... is what Cars would say :)
Here he is flexing in his big boy underwear :)
So, he wore them one day and had one icky accident and I decided he could stay in pull-ups until he could learn to do the icky on the toilet all the time! He can when he wants, so he will get there soon. Pretty cute in the little undies, though.
This picture is for all of you who know just how much I have always LOVED garbanzo beans :) He was eating them by the spoonful - nice work! That is my son.
Just thought the backwards hat was fun.
Our poor dogs!
Mitch is teaching Carson how to catch here. He is getting pretty good at it. Fun to watch! Mitch also taught him how to throw overhand; so much better than that sideways stuff!
We built a big bridge so all his cars/trucks would fit :)

Cookie time!
We made batter one day and then frosted them the next morning. Cars enjoyed the frosting part, and now he is always asking to make cookies bc he wants to frost them :)
So pretty :)
This is the first day...making the batter.
Here are our abstract cookies :)
Ok, this was funny. Carson asked me to take his picture by the pumpkins - he moved them so that he could sit in between them. He wants to see the picture just as soon as I take it.
He is saying "cheese" here - totally on his own!
Here is my feisty little daughter, doing what she isn't suppose to, but I had to get a picture. She crawls, as soon as the gate is put down, out to the living room and to the tv stand just as fast as she can! She loves it when you chase her ... she laughs and screams when she gets caught.
Austynn sharing in the play-doh fun
Back at the tv stand...with her little finger just ready to push the buttons!
Oh, this is Carson copying Austynn...I took a picture of Austynn (below), so of course Cars wanted in on the action!
I was taking clothes out of the dryer and Austynn started pulling them out and handing them to me, so I thought I should get a picture

This is just the kids playing in the am
Great-grandma's 80th b-day! Carson is helping her blow her candles out :)
He is a big fan of all her balloons!

  1. What fun, I loved seeing all the photos of the kids. I can't believe how little we have seen Austynn, seems like life keeps getting busier instead of slowing down! I wish Austynn's birthday was on a Kaylie weekend, she would love to be around your kids. Love you!!
